Open Gate Assisted Living is licensed by the Colorado Department of Health as Assisted Living Residences. The home opened in 1996 in Glenwood Springs and is locally owned and operated.   Our warm and caring staff focuses on a wellness philosophy, nourishing body, mind and spirit. We offer assistance with activates of daily living, full service independent living. Services include personal care, stand by assistance with bathing and dressing, medication administration, exercise and activity program, housekeeping, laundry, cable TV, beauty and barber salon, and great home cooking. Transportation to medical appointments is also provided. Check out Open Gate Field trips with our motor home and vans have included trips to Denver to the Sea Aquarium, Colorado Rockies, gambling at Black Hawk and Central City, picnics at Rifle falls, lunch at the Glenwood Caverns, local fishing and walking tours, Glenwood Springs concerts and plays and the Hot Springs Pool. We have incorporated horticultural therapy with our gardens, pet therapy with our dogs, and kid therapy with the local grade schools. We have volunteers that play games, entertain, and visit on a regular basis. Medicaid, private pay, and long term care insurance are all accepted.
